Two Panel Cloth
The two-part cloth speaks to the heart of the Q'ero Cosmology. It is one piece of fabric, divided into two fields. This cloth is a perfect inner or primary cloth for sacred stones or medicine bundle objects. Compact, clear, and concise in purpose and meaning, it can add clarity, calm and unlimited potential to a personal mesa.
TWO-PART UNDERSTANDING OF THE UNIVERSE
The "two" has great significance in the Q'ero understanding of the material and energetic world. Here is a selection of its certain correspondences:
- Inka - Sun King Colla - Moon Queen
- Inkarri - Masculine Collari - Feminine
- Inti Lloqsimushan - sun Inti chinkapushan - sun setting and going away rising and coming toward
- Yanantin - Difference Masintin - Similarity (Together = complementary opposites)
- Hanan - Upper, spiritual Hurin - Lower, commercial
RAINBOWS RUN THROUGH IT
Created by weavers of the Chinchero Community, these cloths contain stripes of the Kuichi, Quechuan for rainbow. The rainbow has been central to the Cosmology of the Q'ero and to the Inka who were inspired by these mountain shaman. In this depiction, the kuichi creates pathways of light, representing the spectrum of energies available for personal and collective manifestation.
THE EYES OF PROTECTION AND GUIDANCE
Another aspect of these cloths is their boarder. Created especially by the Chinchero weavers, the diamond boarder is called nawi awapi in Quechuan, and signifies eyes. The eyes of the cloth provide additional protection and guidance in the journey of the cloth and its contents.
THE ESSENTIAL FLYING CARPET
Finally, these two-part cloths are finished with tassles, or wings. Essentially, these cloths are the first and primary flying carpet of the Andes. Perfect for personal, meditative travels and journeys to the stars.
