Description
Lucia Navarro Zavala, a highly accomplished elder weaver from the Pitumarca community, has created a true textile treasure. This vintage piece, personally collected on a journey to Pitumarca, carries the luminous vibrancy of Inka-inspired rainbow threads, woven with exceptional mastery and deep cultural intelligence.
Within its rich green Tawantinsuyu field, a small square of contrasting color appears—an unexpected “sunspot” that subtly breaks the pattern. Rather than diminishing the work, it deepens its individuality, reminding us that even within perfection, spirit often leaves a unique signature. This gentle irregularity becomes part of the cloth’s living character, enhancing its presence as a one-of-a-kind sacred expression.
