Suyu - Two Panel Cloths

The two panel or “suyu” cloth is designed to be the centerpiece of the Mesa. It provides a calm balance for the special khuyas nestled within. Each suyu cloth provides a portal to the Q’ero Cosmology it embraces: yanantin/masintin, inti taita/mama quilla, waka/ceke, and other woven complementary pairs are at your fingertips.

Many of these suyu cloths are woven with a special border: the nawe, or watchful eyes. These symbols are perceived to protect what is held within and to add vision beyond the cloth.

A purchase of these hand-crafted, naturally dyed, fair trade textiles helps to support the weavers, their families, and the mountain communities of their revered ancestral homes. Ask your Mesa if it would benefit from the addition of this ancient woven tool to your sacred bundle.
