Shaman Artistry, Shaman Bundles

Nearly every shamanic practice involves tools of the trade. Whether they be bells, rattles, chumpi stones, archetypal figures, beaded ties, and the like, the shaman is assisted by these Mesa companions.

We are fortunate to have acquired, at fair trade prices, hand-woven, naturally dyed bags, many crafted by the weavers of the Center for Traditional Textiles in Cusco. These woven containers are shamanic artistry themselves. They depict the sacred patterns of the tradition.

Whether you choose a bag of exceptional quality or also holds shamanic tools, you’ll be exceptionally pleased with your purchase. Craft your own bundles, using these authentic containers,  as gifts to family and friends – everyone appreciates the quality and artistry of the Andes.

These assorted bags are hand woven by Weavers of the Center for Traditional Textiles in Peru as well as other weavers in the Peruvian communities. They are made from 100% natural alpaca and sheep’s wool as well as all natural dyes.  The Coca bags are traditional in the Peruvian culture to carry the Coca leaves and work well to hold larger treasures in the Mesa. Some of the zip bags are lined and all of the bags are handwoven.

Your purchase of these Fair Trade textiles allows entire villages to maintain the life, culture and dignity in their ancestral homes.
